People in west Essex are being asked for their views on proposals designed to make best use of the money available to the local NHS, while helping as many people as possible to live healthier, longer lives and avoid preventable illnesses.
These proposals are being put forward by West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (WECCG) and come as the CCG faces a number of challenges. The number of people who need health service support is increasing and many people are living longer, often with complex conditions.
People in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire are now benefiting from more efficient, joined-up care. My Care Record allows clinicians at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in Harlow to view a patient’s medical history over a secure network. Initially the system was piloted in A&E but has now been rolled-out across the whole hospital.
