Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides a range of health services for adults and children who live across the county and in West Essex.  Their services are vast and range from school nursing and health visiting for children and young people, to district nurses, diabetes services, rehabilitation in community hospitals, as well as other specialist services for adults and children.

HCT secures new public health nursing contract for Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust has been announced as the new provider for public health nursing in Hertfordshire by Hertfordshire County Council. The Council commissions public health services across the county, and recently ran a tender process to select organisations to provide its Family Centre Services, which include public health nursing services for children and young people.

West Hertfordshire service plans

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust are planning to close two rehabilitation wards – Sopwell and Langton wards - at St Albans City Hospital. This will result in a reduction of 39 community hospital beds. On average only three in ten patients who are treated on these wards come from the St Albans areas, with the majority living in Watford and Hemel Hempstead.  Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust are keen to hear your thoughts about our plans.
